As a writer, I was discouraged. Downtrodden, hope in my craft was meager. “People don’t know me. What if no one can connect with what I write? What’s the point of writing if I’m not encouraging someone… anyone!” As I was complaining to my spouse, he sweetly said, “While you’re writing, you’re worshipping.” Whoa. Take a breath. He was absolutely right. God sees my heart even if no one sees my words. God knows my desire to make Him known even if no one knows me. Maybe you’re at that point as a writer or musician where you feel like your voice isn’t being heard. Don’t stop. Keep doing it for the Lord. And while you’re doing your craft…worship. Thank Him. Be in awe of His presence. And keep persevering for the Lord. He is our audience of One and He is enough. John 4:23-24. 1 Samuel 16:7. Galatians 6:9. Psalm 29:1-2. Romans 12:1.
