Family

This day after Mother’s Day, my mind cannot help but rest on the topic of family. No words could encompass the spiritual diseases that wrack our families today. Pressures of culture, intrusive technology, “the American Dream,” and more, cultivate a society of self-fulfillment, instant gratification, and discontentment. Despite “the norm,” the children of God are called to Service, Love, Sacrifice, and Worship. When leading our families, we have a choice: let the world direct our path or listen to the Word of God and let Him direct us. The pressure is real. And it’s daily. What choices are you facing today that would sway the future of your family? Take time today in silence and pray for the Lord’s leading in your decision-making. As the challenge was posed in Joshua, “choose this day whom you will serve,” I pray you and your household will choose the way of the Lord. Joshua 24:15. Psalm 119:105. Psalm 25:5. Psalm 139:23-24. John 10:27.
