My Psalm

Sometimes, we just need to cry out to God. When I was struggling in a deep dark pit, I used the gift and beauty of poetry to cry out to the Lord and bare my very soul to the One who created it. I encourage you today to write your own Psalm, whether you’re in the pit or on a mountaintop.

The crippling thought,

The anger wrought,

Surfacing while drowning;

The fearsome onslaught.

Mind screaming.

Heart pounding.

Fighting the places, which lost, reliving.

Lost honor of truth.

Abundance of proof.

Knowing the path which forfeits my youth.

The fault of mine.

Misdirected design.

Ignoring the urgency of Your signs.

Forgive me.

Deliver me from my folly.

Refine me.

Redirect me to my calling.
