The Architect

My young child has decided to be an architect. Fantastic with building blocks and analytical engineering – he’s destined to build! But sometimes, he miscalculates. Often, he has great ideas, albeit impractical.

But what about God? They say God is the architect of our lives and this is undeniably true. With God as our architect, He doesn’t miscalculate or falter. He doesn’t design us then throw us away. He loves us equally. Our fallen world has created a haven of “Why’s” and taken away the impact of our faultless Creator. Only God knows the ultimate plan for our lives and for His glory. There will be a Day (O Glorious Day!) when there will be no more crying or pain.

But today, if we’re all honest, we sometimes complain about how we were “built.” Yet, God in His infinite wisdom designed and created each one of us. Because of the Fall, that doesn’t mean we are perfect this side of heaven, but it does mean we were created lovingly. For a purpose. His purpose. For His glory. Take heart, beloved ones. Know that God not only designed you, but will also direct your paths. Keep your eyes on Him. Persevere to that Day when all shall be made right and whole and God’s ultimate architecture will be revealed.
