Sailed On

In this past Sunday’s sermon, it was mentioned that sometimes in Christopher Columbus’ ship log, he would simply state, “Sailed On.” He eventually came upon some of the biggest discoveries of all time. When life demands more than we can handle, sometimes we just need to sail on. When we’re in the headwinds of change… the storms of doubt… the hurricane of shame… we need to sail on to see the horizon. These past weeks in my life have been harrowing. But, I still trust my Captain. The Lord God knows our struggles. He knows the seasons and weather in our lives. Keep going. Don’t give up. New lands and horizons are ahead, and for the child of God, it’s a glorious promise. Sail on, brother. Sail on, sister. 1 Cor. 2:9. Matthew 24:13. II Timothy 2:3. 2 Cor. 4:16-18. ©️2019 Rachel D.
