Glancing out my car window on a usual weekday, I saw an unusual beacon of light in the sky piercing the muddled clouds. It was circular and solo, highlighted above lighter tones, underscored in beauty. Instantly, I wanted to be that light. I want to shine for others to see in a dark world. I want God to use me. Then, I had to consider this… if I wanted to be a beacon of light, I had to have a light SOURCE. The beacon itself in the clouds was impressive, but it would have been nothing without the sun. Ladies & gentlefolk, if we desire to be effective lights, we have to be in tune with the Son – our source. We can brilliantly shine love, truth, and hope when we know where our light comes from. Shine on!
