Poem – A Little Louder

Hearing words of bitterness and charges of mistrust,

Maybe the voice that is thankful and true should be a little louder.

Hearing shouts of anger and fits of rage,

Maybe the voice that is calling for peace should be a little louder.

Hearing whispers of fear and thoughts of doubt,

Maybe the voices of confidence and steadfastness should be a little louder.

Feeling the trembling of the unknown and earthquakes of anxiety,

Maybe the steady foundation of the voice of humility should be a little louder.

Hearing the loud voice of hate,

Maybe…just maybe…the voice of LOVE should be louder. Much louder.

Thank you for reading the cries of my heart through this poem. In a world of negativity, let’s be the voice of positivity. It should definitely be a little louder 🙂
