Ready for Spring? I know I am…! The frigid snow melts…vibrant flowers peek through the rich earth…the air envelopes us in fresh warmth…can you imagine it now? Take a moment to breathe in the newness of impending spring, and as you do, think about your heart.
Why?
Well, just as the earth turns and experiences these changes, our hearts can also change! What does yours feel today? Is there a chill in your heart from loneliness? An avalanche of fear encasing you? An iceberg of choices weighing you down?
I’ve experienced ALL those moments, but I’ve also experienced spring in my heart. It took renewing my mind to focus on things above and accepting God’s sovereignty in my life and in my circumstances. There is a freeing feeling realizing that God is for you and loves you so very deeply.
Sometimes my heart still wants to go into hibernation from the harsh winter of reality, but I’ve learned that holding on…praying…and being honest with God and with myself can bring spring.
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26. Are you ready for spring today? Ask His perfect Son to warm your heart and open up God’s Word for a bright new ray of hope in your life.
