Ministry Mantra

A poem written to encourage all who face the joys and many challenges of ministry and service in the Lord’s work:

Toil, burdens, discouragement, come swift

When we answer the call to use our gifts.

Some days we are filled with joy.

Others, we seek a different employ.

Yet, let us not forget the object or the goal;

We owe the One who saved our very souls.

Yet, not with a grudge and not for the praise,

But for the love of our Father and His perfect ways.

Heavenward should our eyes be set.

The rewards we simply cannot forget.

He watches our actions and knows our motives-

God knows our hearts; if we are truly devoted

To not just Him, but to His precious bride-

The body of the Church, where His affections reside.

Do not be weary by this divine test,

For God does care and call us to rest.

You are His child; a beloved one.

So, do not give up until the race is won.
