The Final Farewell

Sin promises much, but in the end, causes destruction. Poetry by Rachel D. Lyne:

“Sin did not increase my light, but my darkness.

Sin did not bring calm, but chaos.

Sin did not offer comfort, but dissension.

Sin did not guide me, but brought more questions.

Sin did not bring peace, but overwhelming fear.

Sin did not show me how to heal myself or others, but how to break.

Sin proclaimed to tell me “truth” while teaching me to lie.

Sin offered freedom, but locked me in a cage of secrecy.

Sin allowed me to be “open,” yet I was torn down by opposition.

Sin taught me to be selfish when I was meant to be selfless.

Sin promised to provide escape, yet imprisoned me.”

Brothers, sisters – always be vigilant and watch out for the enemy of our souls who seeks to destroy you daily. Bid sin a final farewell.
