What’s Your Escape?

No one has to tell you this world is a scary place, especially right now with the Coronavirus running rampant. Lives are turned upside down. Plans uprooted. The world around us shutting down… it’s scary stuff!

We all have escapisms – gaming, numbing through TV, alcohol, burying our head in the sand, the list goes on! But, do you really know the healthy way to cope? Remind yourself of these 3 things:

1. God is still in control.

2. He still deserves our worship.

3. His blessings and promises won’t go away.

We can face tomorrow because God lives! Jesus was raised from the dead as prophesied on the third day to deliver us from death and the grave spiritually and live eternally ever after. Consider this classic hymn:

“Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow… Because He Lives, All Fear is Gone… Because I know He Holds the Future… And Life is Worth the Living Just Because He Lives.” CCLI Song # 16880 Gloria Gaither | William J. Gaither © 1971 Hanna Street Music (Admin. by Gaither Copyright Management).

I can face tomorrow. You can face tomorrow. Because we have a Savior who died for us and He lives! Know where your help comes from – it is God who is our shelter and refuge in times of uncertainty and fear. Cling to the Rock, brothers and sisters!

Psalm 23:1-4; Psalm 61:1-3; 2 Corinthians 1:3-5; Matthew 6:25-34; Psalm 9:9; Psalm 121; Proverbs 3:5-6.
