Seedlings No More

It all starts with a seed that is sown.

We are all planted to be fully grown.

Stay in the soil where comfort reigns?

Or sprout forth with what God ordains?

Surrounded by darkness was our plight,

So, let’s burst forth into the glorious Light!

Let not fear wilt your stem of faith.

Be nourished by what God saith.

Let your leaves not be battered by wind.

Be strengthened in the storms without sin.

Let the blooms that proclaim new beginning

Be the witness that sends doubt spinning.

From seed, to seedlings, to sprout, to fruit,

Dig your roots deep in God – never to uproot.
